What Renters need to look for when renting a home (Walk Thru 101)?

• Test all the appliances to make sure they still work.
• Turn on the heating and air conditioning for a few minutes to see if they are operable.
• Bring an inexpensive electrical tester from a hardware store to make sure all the outlets work.
• Test all bathroom utilities: toilet, faucet & shower.
• Check windows for leaks, cracks and security
• Check & double check drywall for uneven coloring and chips
• Check the ceiling drywall for stains in the pain, this can be an indication of water damage

Wearing a MASK is a requirement before the home can be shown.  We suggest you bring a walk-thru punch list with you when you walk through the home or condo.  Tenants don’t want to forget any of the important items listed above.  This will let your property manager know that you are not only educated, but serious about the quality of your living environment.  When it comes time for your move-out walk through, you won’t be paying for conditions you didn’t cause.
